The Postal Department of India recently organized a recruitment drive for BPM, ABPM and GDS Engagement in different zones and postal circles of India. A total of 40889 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. The application registration process ended on 16 February 2023. Further, the department has declared the result of this recruitment today on 11 March.

Along with the India Post Office GDS Result, the department has released the schedule for candidates’ appearance in the Documents verification process. The result cum India Post GDS Merit list is published on the zonal website. There is a system-generated merit list to shortlist the candidates for a further phase of the selection process. Candidates should stay connected to the official portal for result updates.

As we already know, the recruitment is 10th based, that’s why a massive number of candidates across India applied for the Gramin Dak Sevak, Branch Postmaster and Assistant Branch Postmaster posts. The shortlisted candidates are appointed at their local post office on the respective post as mentioned. 

GDS Selection Process

There is no written test for the selection of candidates for Gramin Dak Sevak, BPM and ABPM posts. Candidates will be shortlisted for GDS Engagement based on a system-generated merit list based on the marks secured in the 10th standard of approved Boards. In case of a tie among candidates, the merit would be determined on the basis of Date of Birth (Older in age).

After the GDS Result is released, the shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. Also, the candidates will be intimated through SMS on their registered mobile number/email. After the successful completion of document verification, the offer of provisional engagement will be issued through the system itself (on registered SMS/Email).

Documents Verification Process

Candidates will be called for the document verification process. The venue and schedule for the document verification will be released on the website. Also, the relevant information will be shared with the candidates on their registered mobile numbers and email id. Candidates are required to carry their original academic certificates. Candidates should also submit self-attested photocopies of the certificates at the time of reporting. List of documents to carry with them at the time of documents verification phase:

• 10th Marksheet
• Community/Caste certificate
• PWD certificate
• Date of Birth Proof
• Medical certificate
• Other Relevant Documents

How to check GDS Result 2023?

GDS Results are declared on the regional website of India Postal Services. A PDF list having the names of selected candidates is published online. Candidates should check the list and find out their names. In addition, keep your mobile phone with you and check your email regularly for the schedule and venue of document verification.

2. Click on your respective zone and then the postal circle.
3. Then, click on the GDS Result link.
4. Download the Result Sheet in PDF.
5. Extract the downloaded file and search for your name on it.
6. Finally, check your respective result.
